From a charming inn …
… to a modern 3-star hotel
The first mention of the “Wirt unter der Schupfe” dates back to 1773. Already at that time, the charming inn in the centre of Silandro was a meeting point for the whole town. The name “Wirt unter der Schupfe” or “Schupferwirt” comes from the so-called “Schupfen” in the vicinity, which indicate, in the local language, covered structures intended for horses and other means of transport. At the end of the nineteenth century, the denomination “Schupferwirtshaus zum Löwe” emerged. In 1997, the restaurant was passed on to the Wieser Family, and after a complete and careful renovation, awaits you today, also welcoming you in a modern 3-star hotel, where the charm of the past remains intact.
