Goldener Löwe Through Time

From Tavern to 3-Star Hotel

It was around the distant year of 1773 when the “Wirt unter der Schupfe” was first mentioned. The term “Schupfen” colloquially referred to covered shelters for horses and wagons and was the namesake for the village meeting point until the 19th century. In 1997, the inn was acquired and restored by the Wieser family and has been known as the 3-star Hotel Goldener Löwe ever since.
